HOMEWORK: CHAPTER 23 – DUE 2/28

Evaluate Victor’s reaction to the creature’s actions. Does Victor rightly place blame where it is due? How culpable should Victor feel regarding the creature’s actions?

  1. Victors actions are unfair to the creature. The monster wanted a friend, no one gave him a chance. The monster saved a life, the people ran away. The monster saw Justine and wanted to be with her, she ran away. The monster wanted a female creature just like him so he can love her and she can love him, Victor never completed her. Since no one gives him a chance and Victor did not complete his companion, the monster went after Victor's Companion, his newly married wife Elizabeth. Victor should blame himself.

  2. Victor is unfair , i mean the creature was lonely and he's like a new born baby , he doesn't know what to do . He needed someone's guidance like a parent or a friend . & it's all Victor's fault that his creature is going after his family , cause everytime his creature comes to him he keeps chasing him away .

  3. I think no one was at blame but victor ! He should blame him self for these things ! All the creature wanted was love and never received it ! I think victor should feel like crap because if what he has done ! Look one one creature can do to lots of people and this all started with victor making this one creature ! He lost so many loved ones when all this could have been prevented ! Victor deserves all this blame and hurt inside

@Leah I totally agree with you. his actions were unfair and victor did not give him a chance ! All he needed was love ! Now he should know how it feels to have that empty feeling the creature has had all this time . Great job (:

  4. Deeann,
Your right Victor does always chase him away. Victor should he guiding him instead of chasing him. If Victor just guided him instead of running away from him or chasing him away i doubt that the creature would have ever killed anyone.

  5. I think that victor is all to blame for this . Only because he didnt take the right approach towards the creature. I mean Like leah says above : "Victo shouldve guided the creature instead of chasing him away'In my point of view i thnk that is were the problem starts for the whole story. If Victor had made the right approach & had thought about teaching him his right from wrongs i dont think any of this wouldve happened.

Leah : Thanks for that one like as said in my blog aswell. It really helped meunderstand more . I was trying to Pinpoint the real problem but i couldnt quite get it. Until i read that line .

  6. Like what Deanna said Victor is unfair. The creature didn't even know anything. He ws like a new born baby and only knew how to eat and breath. Victor is dumb for neglecting him. Victor is to blame for everything. Even the killing of him wife Elizabeth.

@DEANNA: You nailed this blog. Your blog is the one that helped me. i forgot about the stuff Mrs. Q said.
